“Don’t give up, be patient, talk to someone. Take each step in stride. You will get there.”

I have other health issues that I was concerned would interfere with my ability to use a prosthesis.
How do you feel about having a prosthesis?
Having a prosthetic limb is just another tool in my toolbelt.

Wonderful. The technician who visited me in the hospital was great.
Do you have any words of encouragement for someone who recently became an amputee?
Sometimes, the hardest part of your day is just trying to get your leg on. Do what you need to do to live your life. If you need hand controls to drive and be independent, get the hand controls.
